A bad word called FAMILY -
America dropped the Atomic Bomb
and nobody told me...
when did it land?
what year? who got hurt?
was it in the 1940's when Negro's showed some independence...
was it in the 1950's when women tried independence...
was it in the 1960's when the new wave was love and be loved...
was it in the 1970's when Family almost, still came first, work then friends
was it in the 1980's when love me for who I am, not the color of my skin...
was it in the 1990's when travel, divorce, separation - it's the in thing...
was it in the 2000's when COMPARING oneself to others too find - ME
NOW... scattered among the earth like, ghost of the lost tribes of Israel
America dropped the Atomic Bomb and nobody told me...
when did it land? what year?
Hell! I don't know?
Who got hurt? The Family
Why are we still here? Only on a Physical plane
with or without, so called - FAMILY
roaming the earth like Ghost...
trapped in a time gone by
that will never be seen again...
except in museums called - FAMILY
The Poem, A bad word called family; a line created in the book
"Between The Painful Stages Of Life"
Shows how the Family is and has been in dire need of repair.
