A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IS MY MOTHER,
FOR SHE TOOK ME FROM MILES,
WHERE ALL THE UNBORN ONES,
FOUGHT FOR A RIDE,
BUT I WAS THE CHOSEN ONE,
A WONDERFUL WOMAN IS MY MOTHER,
FOR SHE STAYED WITH ME FOR NINE MONTHS,
FED ME WHEN I CRIED,AND WARMED ME IN THE COLD,
AND DAY IN AND OUT ,WHEN EYES WERE CLOSED,
THE LIGHT SHE GAVE ,MADE ME FEEL SAFE,
A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IS MY MOTHER ,
FOR SHE UNLOCKED THE BIG DOORS,
AND WELCOMED ME HOME,
FOR THE FIRST DAY I CRIED,
FOR I NEVER WISHED TO LEAVE MY HEAVENLY WORLD,
I WANTED IT TO BE MINE BUT THAT DAY NEVER CAME,
FOR IN THE NINTH MONTH,
ALL LIGHTS WENT DOWN,
AND ONLY MY MOTHER KNEW THAT IT WAS TIME
WITH A WARM SMILE ,
MY MOTHER HELD ME TIGHT,
AND STARED IN MY EYES,
I CRIED WITH FRIGHT,
AS I FACED THE NEW WORLD,
THOUGH WITH MY MOTHER'S TOUCH,AND HER THULA THULA SONG,
MY EYES WENT WIDE ,FOR
I KNEW THAT I WAS NOT ALONE ,
AND THAT NEVER WOULD I GET LOST,
A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IS MY MOTHER.
