And the girl would stare beyond the stars
At all the mysteries thereon
And wished to be amongst the stars
And from this small place long gone
Then she heard of God
Of the corrupted human ways
Of men and women whose body and mind
Were devoted everyday
At first she though it pointless
And an aimless restless path
But then she thought of belonging
To have belonging and belong
And once of rightful age
She asked to join the Holy Place
To worship God in all his forms
To be welcomed by his embrace
But locked indoors day
With nought but candlelight to see
She couldn't see the stars above
Or smell the grass beneath her feet
And only when she left this place
Abandoning authority
Could she truly walk amongst this Earth
And live her whole life free
