Being Me

Being me isn't all it seems
Being me can be boring and dull
Being me can be hard and troublesome
Being me can leave scars which don't
always show

Being me can lead to breakdowns
Being me can lead to bumpy roads
Being me can be scary and emotional
Being me may surprise you

It may look easy being less popular
and being left out of the fun and games
It may look easy to help people you hate
It may look easy to work hard which eventually
pays off

Just think how perfect your life is and don't
wish for anyone but yourself
Just leave me on the shelf of nothing
To feel pain and dry my tearful eyes

Waiting to pass to the next life
