Flip the pages of a book
Take a single fleeting look
And you'll be sucked into the plot
Books are doors; and there are a lot!

Be daring prince, be a princess so pretty
Be goofy joker making up ditties
Climb mountains, slay dragons, marry zillions of women
Do anything: fly, sing, go swimmin'

Something calls in the distance, you swirl back out
Grumbling and wondering what it's all about
Dishes, maybe, or some trivial chore
Which, unlike books, are a terrible bore

Sure, come back sometime!
Be anything you want, it's so sublime!
We'll miss you, be safe, come back soon!
Next time, good sir, we'll take to the moon!
