(Flint, Michigan)
What did you do?
to deserve what
they did
Why pick on you?
when you're just
a kid
Too young to die
as an old man
in the cage
So please tell me
Why?
you're still stuck
on this stage
Once
you're caught
in their grasp
they squeeze out
the juice
Till you're
nothing
but a shell
and then turn you
Loose
You can Tie me
or bind me
but my soul will
still find me
You can take me
and forsake me
but Never
will you break me
I am;
more than you see
Even more
than you'll be
Try and feel good
as you look down
your nose
Yet
it does you no good
when everyone knows
You're less
than a speck
completely a wreck
put yourself into
Prison
as you wait
for a check
You wouldn't be here
if it wasn't for me
Searching this World
Wondering;
What I could be?
While
your best days are
gone
and you wonder
this tomb
I'm absorbing all
Life
Feeling fresh from
the womb
Punishing your peers
for the Law's
you have broken
Stealing these
year's
from the truly
Outspoken
Just because
you can't face your
Reflection
With out pointing
your finger
at my imperfections...
