I lay me down by cliff's edge
where gulls stalked vulture like over head
and lust for my despair
that sates their hunger upon silver wares.
I lay me down by the cliff's edge,
where the cooling spray of Poseidon's rage
cools the tempest within
so once again I cower from my fate, the unforgiven sin.
