What disappointments we must be
Trying so hard, but still deserting Thee
Faltering over wordless thoughts
At what price our souls be bought
So often we do sin
Wondering when our hearts will win
To let Your word get through
We beg this of You
The war that rages in our minds
The tug of war, swaying side to side
When will this insanity end?
How far back do we have to bend?
Yet we know the difference between right and wrong
Our minds and bodies not so strong
So disappointment must be our middle names
As we fall to our knees ashamed
Begging for forgiveness from above
Help us please, teach us to love
Help our hearts and souls to be
More in tune with Thee
