(Maine, USA)
I had gone to a Waldorf school
I didn't know what to expect
Just walking into public school, all casual-like
I didn't know a soul
I couldn't find my way around
I was the new kid- a lousy thing to be
(In case you didn't already know)
Then I met Her
Mrs. Federle
She is the best teacher I've ever had
She was the one who sat my best friend next to me,
Knowing we'd get along
She was the one who encouraged me to try out for Dorothy in the play
And cheered me on when I sang my dreaded solo
I'll never forget her
