Giving Me Away

Daddy I know I'm your little girl
and if you could you would give me the world
but now I'm grown with kids
and have a good man that needs your blessing
to let him do all he can.
I always listen to what you say
I want a man but don't need him day by day
I'm independent yes I am
you and momma taught me that
but I got a man that say he also got my back
so now that you and momma put me in his hands
we are both going to do all we can
for the love that we have for each other
and our new family as one.
We are too blessed to be stressed.
