"God Still Reigns"

Today, we take a moment
To bow our heads to pray;
And remember the thousands of people who died
On one unforgettable day!
The people who perished much too soon
Were victims of Satan’s plan;
But death had no sting for the people of God
Who were saved by His powerful hand!
Today, in our moment of silence;
We won’t fail to remember;
The souls that Satan attempted to steal
On the 11th day of September!
Darkness attempted to overcome light
On that horrific day;
But God’s glory still shone upon our land
As the smoke lifted away!
The powers of hell revealed itself
In that time and in that place;
But the Light of the World overshadowed the sin
Because of amazing grace!
Today, in our remembrance
Of the day we took a fall;
We acknowledge that our strength comes from
You, the Lord of all!
The trials and tribulations
That we’ve faced along the way;
Have taught us how to persevere
When we, as one nation, pray!
Today, we honor You, oh God
For Your Word, The Eternal Truth;
Salvation, faith and the gift of hope
Come from only You!
We remember the events of the past
And all that has been done;
And know that the presence of evil shall cease
When the Kingdom of God shall come!
