When ever things go wrong in life
No matter how sad or tragic
I always turn to Gracie-Mae
My little bit of magic

My beautiful little granddaughter
A very special gift
Whenever I am feeling down
She gives me such a lift

She seems to act accordingly
As if she can tell
That nanny's feeling sad today
Bless her she reads me well

Just one of her kisses
Is enough to make me smile
My little Gracie grumbles
Sure makes my life worthwhile

This year has not been good for me
Things have all gone wrong
Gracie is just the tonic
That I need to carry on

I love my little angel
I have done from the start
Thanks a million darling
For healing nanny's broken heart
