the candlelight winks at me tonight


wanting to dance that beat one more time


bundling thoughts stained with your name, pictures & words


& dipping their edges onto the flame


to watch burn with a graceful disgrace


the fire flickers & sparks and i know which memory it's met


a few more minutes and the illumination will soon be dark


its colors are hypnotic as i am staring into the alluring beauty


feeling the anger & pain turn into boiling strength


loving the light


adoring the fire


i touch to let the rhythm bite me


to breath


& burn me to finally see


that's all it takes to make you dissolve into a grey wind


to set myself free
