I Said "THANK YOU"

Each day is a chance to say THANK YOU
... a chance to work, learn and play
... a chance to say I LOVE YOU
... a chance to make things count in a day.

Today I woke up and said THANK YOU
For my little girl's effort to set breakfast today
For the food shared and laughter so true
For all the blessings to come our way.

Earlier I said THANK YOU
For my worries for tomorrow
Though feeling alone; not knowing what to do
He'll carry me through, I know.

At times I do falter and ask why things had to happen
But all questions fade away as I look up to heaven
Then I'd think of my family and our simple but happy life
That's when I'd feel better, God is there, He's our LIGHT.

So tonight I will say THANK YOU
Knowing He saw us through
Knowing that as I wake tomorrow
He'll be there for me and YOU....
