I searched for a picture to show you what you mean to me,
But none of them were beautiful enough for what I wanted you to see.
I searched for a lovely melody so that maybe you could hear,
But none of them were peaceful enough for what I wanted to reach your ear.
I searched for the most beautiful words to try to tell you who you are,
But nothing whispered to the wind could travel quite that far.
I searched for something that I could give you, to show you something real,
But nothing I found would ever compare to the love my heart could feel.
