IMAGINATION

by Dr. Rick McGrath, Ph.D.
(Modesto, CA)

Where does imagination come from
In a land far away full of fantasy it came
Where boys and girls eat sugar plums
A very safe place, no fear or shame.

Where a garden in my mind can be found
A glorious place of incredible color and beauty
Here the world of winged fairies flutter around
Care of creation’s garden is their nightly duty.

Male and female both scarcely two feet small
Spending their time playing and working hard
Magically making flowers grow extra tall
From humans they are ever on their guard.

Only at night can they be found
Search closely between moon beams
Opened mind your reality unbound
Winged fairies really exist it seems.

The sun came up to my alarm
It was a dream, my imagination
My night spent, fairies unharmed
My mind knows no limitation.
