Lent Santa my Mercury Cougar
To do Christmas this year
Gave his reindeer a rest
Horsepower might be best.

That XR7 could really fly
Up on high, across the sky
With headlights on full bright
Santa saw better at night.

Santa was pleased and surprised
Cougar trunk was good sized
More space than in the sleigh
HO HO HO - Up Up and Away..

He set the cruise control at 90
That Cougar was really speedy
Into the night he soared
