Life through my eyes: Chapter 2- The Clock is ticking

by Nicholas Shelver
(Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa)

Time flies so quickly, day after day, hours feel like minutes, just drifting away.

Times running out, faster than ever before, until the clock stops ticking and can't tick any more.

Like sands through the hour glass, our days will end, some sooner than others, it's so difficult to comprehend.

As Prophets have warned, for hundreds of years, how difficult the last days will be, until the Savior appears.

His second coming, like a thief in the night, the exact day unknown, will you stand ready to fight.

Good versus Evil, which side will you choose, the last war on earth, in the end who will lose.

Fiction or non, so be as it may, a revelation or story, that, I can not really say.

But I'm sure in the end, and you really believe, the more you give, the more you will receive.

As the commandments say, we should love one another, thou shalt not steal, honour thy father and mother.

There are seven more commandments, yes, seven more to go, but remember one thing, you reap just what you sow.

As our paths lead so different, many obstacles to go through, some harder than others, mine so much different to you.

But enough about religion, as the topic at hand, was how quickly times passing, I just can't understand.

Some days feel longer, while others feel slow, one minute to the next, where did the time go?

They say time flies when you are having fun, like parties and holidays, and having fun in the sun.

But the sun will go down, as day turns to night, Another day passes, as the dark consumes light.

Time to sleep, as your eyes begin to close, And the dreaming commences, and so on it goes.

Wake up now, as another day just passed, make the best of today, as it too will not last.

But these are just thoughts, I have in my free time, and words are free, and so is this rhyme.

Have a Look at the clock, as I conclude chapter two, time has run out, so I bid you all adieu.
