Stepping from the saddle
in the midst of darkness
Standing as a brickle
in the midst of winter
Freezing in the ice
in the midst of a forest
likely moving as a dice
seeking a place to rest
Staring in the gloomy night
in through the deep darkness
Looking for a glimpse of light
in the way of brightness
Oh there! the light sparkled
from nowhere i know
then an old man lightened
a lamp like the day-glo
Coming towards me
Enquiring who am i?
Answering the strangers question on antsy
repeatedly saying I am a passer by
The stranger with a bright cheek
invited me to his house
I enquired if i can in a state of meek
tie my poor horse in the farmhouse
Bowing to him with a bright smile
a way of saying thanks from me
I jumped on my docile horse
passing by to cover more than a mile
