by Debbie Lynn
(Kelliher, M.N.)
Looking in the distance not
a sight to be seen. a smile
on her face that no one can see.
Tears running down her face
her eyes are turning red as they start to quiver.
Her lips purple as can be
no one can see the look on her face
no one except me.
Her arms start to shake and her knees start to get weak
No one knows this but that girl is me.
and that girl can't speak.
She is dying now and it is so slick.
I'm sorry mama,
just go back to sleep.
