I look into the mirror
and what do I see?
I see an old person
looking back at me
At ages 20 and 30
I was a sight to behold
And now at 70, I am growing old
At ages 40 and 50
I could still hold my own
I could still turn a head
and was never alone
60 was a triumphant year
but the extra pounds landed
right on my rear
A wrinkle or two
started lining my face
Then more and more,
at such a fast pace
I look into the mirror
and what do I see?
I see an old person
looking back at me
Oy, the knee
Oy, the hip
Oy, the back - oy vey
Monday, Tuesday, JCC
Wednesday, Thursday, Dr. Kaye
Cat Scan, MRI, colonoscopy
Oh the joys of growing old
But it's better than not to be
However, the mirror
cannot see my heart
For youth is eternal
Never to part
