Grandfather -
Hand in hand we stroll
Through fields and forests
That have no end
You are are a god amongst giants
And your height gives me the courage
To dip my hands in the swift, flowing
Stream that roars past my ears -
To see your eyes twinkle
As I discover treasures, strewn like
Pearls beneath my tiny toes
Is all the candy I desire -
Please don't ever take your
Hand from mine;
There are so many stories yet
I need to hear from you
To make me me
Smile and wonder.
