More Than Words

More than words can say
More than a heart could pray for
More than a night and a day
Time takes hostage of what my soul craves
And space seeks to fit my desire
My whole being is on fire
A sweet tender yearning kindled by the waves
Of fiery promises, of unspoken dreams
Slowly entering the gate into the land
Of dreams come true….

More than just me and you
More than two pairs of eyes falling into each other
More than one plus one that makes two
More than just one and then another
It’s us, just the two of us, but a world into its own right
Three dots to follow the day and a smile to follow the night
As the dawn breaks and my heart no longer aches
But takes time to pause and reflect the new kind of happiness
A new day, a new life and love to last a lifetime and then some more
And this is something I’ve never known before.
This is it.
And it’s more than words can say.
