MY CREED

Let me not have the desire to be protected from danger
Rather a determined heart to face it and defeat it
Let me not pray that my pain be lessened to ignore it
Rather give me the strength that I may endure it all
To journey through it’s lessons I am no stranger.

Let me not stand idle and accept my predestined life
Rather I pray that I be able to dream and change it
Let me not settle for second best as my achievable best
Rather strengthen me to always give my very all
There is no measured reward without life’s strife.

Let me not take part in a reward I haven’t earned
Rather give me a fitting reward that I deserve
Let me not be boastful of my many great works
Rather understand it isn’t by works I am saved
It’s salvation through Jesus Christ I have returned.
