My Dinosaur

Once I had a pet dinosaur
He was as big as the sun
When we went out to the grocery store
he made all the people run!

He could eat 10,000 lbs of meat
and drink the rivers dry.
He’d run as fast as a rocket ship
and jump three towers high.

With arms as short as Popsicle sticks
and claws as sharp as razors
he tried to eat up all my friends
While his eyes shone like lasers!

After he gobbled up all my friends
and started on my neighbours
I had to let my dinosaur go
because I’d used up all my favours.
