My Emptiness

Another rambling poem,
For you straight from my heart
To tell you all my feelings,
When we have to be apart

To find the words that capture,
The emptiness inside
To describe how lost and lonely,
I want to run and hide

Coz when we are together,
And it doesn't matter where
That's where I want to be,
With you, right now, right there

It's like a giant vacuum,
Comes and takes away my soul
And only when you're next to me,
Do I get back some control

Every time we say goodbye,
And go our separate ways
My life goes back into a spin,
The world becomes a haze

I can't believe these thoughts and dreams,
Are with me every day
I never thought a love like this,
Could blow my mind away

So where to go and what to do,
I wish I knew the way
To take you with me baby,
And hold you every day

For now I know it's really hard,
It's more than just my wish
I need you in my life with me,
I need you to exist.
