by Caneel
(Maine, USA)
I fly by night
Quietly, so quietly
Nobody sees me
Even I am not sure I am here
It feels so real
The night air, the clouds with my mother's gentle, caressing hands
I am flying, believe me, I am
I shield my eyes to watch the sun rise
So pretty, so pretty
So-BRIGHT!
I am visible, for a single moment
Nobody sees
I open my eyes
I cannot fly in this form
Here, now, I am just a regular girl
By night, I am so much more
I fly by night
I am a Night Flier
