NO GREATER LOVE
No greater love have I witnessed
Between a daughter and a father
Love that transcends time and space
Humbling and awe inspiring.
As her father lays and waits death
Herself emptied to become the vessel
Angels filling the room to comfort
With love a daughter and her father.
Taken in and held to her bosom
Comforting words to ease the pain
All is well as heaven waits
A daughter’s love for her father.
Oh spirit of death you may come
Take up this earthen vessel
It no longer has value
The soul removed and sent home.
A glorious path made ready
By the love of a daughter for her father
A daughter who asked nothing
Giving all for the love of her father.
A tribute to my sister Patty
