Tis been a wonderful summer at my home
I'm free to be here or to roam
The Indian summer has been divine
flitter here, flitter there, just sublime
My friends are dwindling away from the nectar
confusing it is left alone in the sector
The chill on my wings apprise me of change
although this is home, so the notion is strange
The journey is long and treacherous at times
so here I sit pensive for hours on my line
My belly is full I feel extra weight
perhaps I should flee before it's too late
One more gander around will suffice
then off I go to my next paradise
