by Anthony Hayes
(Mexico )
There I lay dark, in stillness and silent
Coldness emerges in my withering soul
Breathless now, tormented with life in past
From a world decay and consumed
As the vail closes, see no more
Voices in faraway but pleasant to hear
Forgive forgive for what I bear
Scorned by many but regale me once more
For now, I walk where light beacons
I am free now, the shackles of life is no more
