SELF DREAMS
In the deepness of darkness and fear
The sound of nothingness I can hear
Found in total isolation peace abides
Gaining momentum with the tides.
In each of the thoughts of man’s mind
No way to quite the thoughts I find
From thought to troubling thought
Battles won and lost I have fought.
To regain equal footing that I desire
Early each night I know I must retire
With inner strength I push forward
I am who I am, I am no coward.
To plead to be or not to be the way
To my own self I know I’m okay
The pain will pass it can’t remain
I seek forgiveness I must obtain.
