The girl in the corner of the room
Wishes some day to be wife to a groom
Though somehow it is easy to see
That she is me
Her eyes shine but still are dark
And though her life was torn apart
Somehow her future was meant to be
Can you not see, she is me
Her dark past reminds her of the curse
She ever wonders if it could have been worse
Though she is down, could it be?
That you somehow knew, she was me
You came to her that one day
And made her smile the entire way
Was this to form a love to be?
I wonder if you know, she is me
At home she writes, she draws, and sings
Unaware of what the future brings
Won't you ever come to see?
That girl, she is me
