The midnight hour strikes.
Sleep eludes me
Though I try to snare her,
She won’t be caught tonight.
Until my mind comes to terms
Uprooting the false pretense of joy,
Rooted in false interpretation of life,
My ignorance.
I call forth the divine spirit within.
Find me the solace that ran away,
The peace that permeated my being, and,
Bring comfort to the mind that lives within.
