(London, UK)
Heartbreak hotel years,
from girl to all woman
Travelling at the speed of light,
from boys to men
Not knowing where you’re going to
And you just can’t find what you’re looking for
Then boom, there it is
You got it, you got it bad
But this funny thing called love
It’s a roller coaster
And the road is long, with many a winding turn
Because it takes longer than
a minute to fall in love
You have to know somebody to love somebody
And love them just the way they are
So when he’s sad she’s always a clown
And when she’s scared he’s always around
He does the dishes in the kitchen sink
She puts him to bed when he’s had too much to drink
Always offering protection
A lot of love and affection
Knowing where they belong
Making dreams out of real things
This is love... and it’s a kind of magic
To have and to hold, now and for always
Like Diamonds that are forever
That’s the story of, and the glory of love
