STRANGER IN MY WINDOW
by Dr. Rick McGrath, Ph.D.
(Modesto, CA)
I awoke one night and saw a stranger in my window
Couldn’t believe my eyes. Am I asleep or awake
I couldn’t see well but I know I saw his shadow
Maybe he has the wrong house, just a mistake.
The stranger in my window, his shadow bright
I wasn’t sure if I should scream or should I run
Never have I experienced such a strange sight
I decided to stay still and watch until it was done.
Then the stranger in my widow said to me
I am an angel, a guardian from God above
I have been sent to look after you, you see
For you God has such a great love.
All day I follow you and always am near
Even at night when your heart is right
Awake or asleep I protect you from harm
I am an extension of God’s loving might.
So when you see me a stranger in the window
You can rest easy and go back to sleep
I am your guardian angel here with you below
Satan can’t harm you, you are God’s to keep.
