In a forbidden dream, a fabricated mask is within my presence.
Though it's eerie face feels so real, full of painful truth, devised only by my mind.
A face to echo laceration in life.
A striped mask, with a bloody tear.
It's strips, black and white labyrinths, consume my sight.
The bloody tear, a scarlet stream that drowns me.
It's crimson color blinds me.
The metropolis mansion, with it's Gothic allure, I had entered from has now fallen from sight.
Disoriented now, a memory of where I came from has vanished from me.
Surrounded by a spiral meadow, the mask materializes once again.
As it's bloody tear appears, with a fading dawn.
This elusive dream vanquishes, it's evanescent gloom, and leads me home.
My inquiry forms.
Can a nightmare so beautiful, have meaning?
A striped mask, with a bloody tear, gloomy but full of desire.
Guides me home.
