Sun God's Stride

by Ryan Beere
(Enola, PA, US)

Dawn's Disguise
Is in no way a surprise
It creeps up slowly
From the folds of the untamed earth
Slowly changing shades
From a dull
Lifeless gray
Till it grows older
And becomes bolder
Light orange
And slowly turns
The whitish yellow of
A morning starting fresh
Another Day
For all that thrive in it
All that seek refuge
From the blackness
Of night
And strive
To be alive

Thank's a lot Eve. I really appreciate the feedback. I have been trying to make the images appear across a person's vision with my writing.

Well done Ryan. I was first attracted by the title which I find unique and interesting.

The poem itself contains many vivid images that paint pictures in my head. Thank you for sharing this lovely poem. Eve
