The sound of distant engines roaring
Most of London in bed snoring
Closer, closer planes will creep
Oblivious to all, we're fast asleep
Whistling sound splits the air
Bombs are dropping everywhere
Screams of terror, smoke does rise
Up and up into the skies
The hot flames leap from street to street
Smell of burning is not sweet
People running here and there
Why oh why it's just not fair
People's homes now turned to rubble
I wish I had a little bubble
To float away from all the pain
Our lives will never be the same
