The Hen Party

Like salt from a shaker
They all poured into an acre
The Tuckaway-- fine food chamber
Tavern and Butchery
Time for them, all to bond and huggy
Small rap, itsy-bitsy, chattery
Powwow, buzz around, blabby
They display all, they have to say
With affections and sympathy
This day of special, with friends
A time to share stories and transcend
Goodness the spiels
They all reveal
While laughing, having lots of fun
Waiting for their vittles, to be done
This senior young ladies clique
So to speak, is quite unique
Not designed for hearts too weak
The best of the best, along for the ride
Of all girlfriends, clacking side by side
Joining in, three old grayhaired men
To the yackety- yack chickfriends pen
My spying eyes scanning hearty
Relentlessly in the bite to eat snuggery
To the social gathering of a hen party
