The Kitten and the Hen

What is that? It's not a cat!
I doubt if a cat
Would wear that kind of hat.
Maybe it came out to play -
It might be best to see
What it says.
I don't mind it being different
If I could just figure out
Where its front end went.
I suppose I look as funny as she
But no-one I know has a coat
That flashy.
No tail - I wonder how it does without it.
And that look might be a smile -
But I doubt it.
