To My Son

On this day,
you don't understand
But one day,
you'll be a man
And you will know,
why I must go
To protect you, son
"I love you so!"




I wrote this one day for my son. His father was deployed with the Navy and my son was feeling lonely for his dad and didn't understand why he left us. He never had a problem after I read him the poem. :) Kat
