Understanding

It is so much more complicated then she can possibly know
But I can't allow myself to tell her so
She is still so young, not even 10
She is more ready now than she was then

It is so complicated
She shouldn't have to deal with it
But yet...
I think she might already understand

She frolics with her many friends
Her imagination has no end
I love her, I really do
At night she always says-
"I love you, too."

It is incredibly complicated
She should never, ever have to deal with it
But, really...
I think she might already know
