Where would we be without the service of our soldiers? Veterans Day Poems from My Word Wizard recognize the contributions of our fighting forces as they risk their lives to protect our freedoms.
Throughout history, brave men and women have given themselves over in service to their countries so that we may all feel just a little bit safer. Now it is time for us to remember their service, to thank them for their sacrifice, and to memorialize those no longer with us.
To all servicemen past and present, we are humbled by your courage and by your strength.
The techniques and the uniforms may have changed.
The weapons may have evolved,
But one thing has stayed the same.
The bravery of our men
Risking their lives for their country
And The pride we feel for our boys,
It never changes.
Words can never explain
How we appreciate our veterans.
We don’t go through all the training.
We never experience the fear.
What we do
Is always, always wish
That you were here.
Where would we be
If you didn’t sacrifice?
Your time, your futures –
Too often your lives.
What we do
Is love you, our veterans.
Without you this country wouldn’t be the same;
You fight and you battle
For our common name.
Your level of courage is oh so rare
You’re dedicated and faithful;
You’re always there.
You’re my hero,
My favorite soldier,
And I love you.
Come home soon!
You’re always remembered
For we can never forget -
Your courage and sacrifice
So that others can live -
With hope and without fear.
Know on this day
And all days,
You are remembered.
