When lovely melodies spring in my mind
And words fall smoothly into rhymed lines,
My soul starts to sing and dance with delight!
I love such creativity-induced good mood
And I’d infect more people with it, if I could,
As this would surely do our world a lot of good!
But I am puzzled by the complex process
Of Creativity! What must one's mind possess
To be enabled to create? How is it accessed?
And How and Why do our minds get so inspired?
How is it that artists never seem to be tired?
And WHY some are modest, or crave to be admired?
What drives their burning desire and passion?
Why some fail to be recognized by their nation,
While much lesser talents become a sensation?
As people are very different, with unique tastes,
Thus sales of Art are subjective in every case;
Where some see quality, others dismiss it in haste.
When Science, at last, will brilliantly solve
Huge problems of our very much troubled world,
It might explain how human Creativity's evolved.
But our creative urges cannot be put ‘on hold’,
So artists will keep producing beauty in the world
For the hungry souls who desire these Arts to behold!
