Words Are Powerful Things

When breathed into a song
The resounding echo lingers long.
When written upon the page
That meaning reaches a future age.

When breathed upon the airways
Though unseen, they travel their ways.
Words can heal the conflict of battle.
They can heal the wartime rage, and rattle.

Words can calm the worried troubled mind,
And cause it to leave fears and wrongs behind.
Words can install into the mind
Knowledge and training for a lifetime.

Words can being peace and joy and laughter
They hold promises for now and after.
Words are powerful things!
Great joy and peace they can bring!
